Tree Hunt

The day after Thanksgiving we went out to find the perfect Christmas tree. I decided this year that I wanted a real tree since our fake one is only about 6 1/2 ft tall and with our 10 ft ceilings, it looks lame and shrimpy. So we went over to a tree farm thats only about a mile from our house to cut down a tree. We did alot of searching to find one that was just right. Not too bushy, and tall enough but not too tall. Finally we found the perfect one and Brandon got to cut it down. If you look at the pictures of him cutting the tree, you will notice Carter in the background. He narrowly escaped being taken out by the tree as it fell to the ground. I think it missed him by about an inch! Then we got to drag the tree back to the car. It was so much fun that I think this will have to be our new Christmas tradition. I would post some pictures of the tree all decorated and lit, but the lights (after checking them all and making sure they worked) have stopped working. So sad. Also had to share this sweet sleeping shot of Bennett. Brandon put him on the floor for some tummy time, and came back to this.

How fun to have a real tree! We like our 9 foot tall fake tree and so far that is the only christmas decoration out! Hope you guys are doing well and have a merry christmas! 2 more days of school and then a 2 week break...yeah! Riley has the next 4 weeks off and then we'll see when the baby comes! That was also a way cute picture of Bennett but I am so not ready for a baby yet...maybe in 39 days! So yes, I want this baby to wait until his due date!
