Since I've started sewing and crafting more often, I decided I needed a spot that I could leave my half finished projects out, and also have a spot to store all of my supplies in one location (before stuff was spread out all over the house). So when I found this desk at the DI for $35 in November, I snatched it right up. I started painting it the day after I got it, and then it sat for a long time in the garage. I finally finished up all of the various things I was working on and finished it all up yesterday, and I have to say that I'm pretty excited by the outcome. I spent about $50 on everything for this area, and I love it. Can't wait to start working on some of my unfinished projects now. By the way, this is upstairs in my loft, which was largely an unused space except for the boys playing in there sometimes.
