This new yard is like a new world of surprises. I’ve never lived in an older house, and we have had to landscape both our other yards, so we knew each and every plant that was in the ground, because we put it there. But here there are plants just popping up all over and I don’t know what they are going to be. I’m really in love with the whole concept. I went out to shoot some pictures of my sweet strawberry blonde Bennett (yes, I have finally come to realize that he really does have a red tint to his hair), and couldn’t resist taking some shots of all of the lovely flowers that were popping up despite the unending rain.

I'm pretty sure the stuff with the red stem is rubarb. I can see you making rubarb pie and liking it.
