Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas in our new house. We kicked it off by having Brandons family over for Christmas eve dinner. Kaden of course was up at 5:00 wanting to open presents. I was able to convince him to go back to bed and we got to sleep till 8:00. There were lots of great presents under the tree this year, Santa really outdid himself! I'm not sure why Carter looks so depressed and despondent in this picture. He really did have a great time, I swear!
Kaden on the other hand is wild with glee and dancing with his new scooter!

This photo is almost disturbing. What kind of a face is that!!

After opening his presents Kaden decided to go for a run on my new elliptical. You should see that boy go! I am also very excited about my new Christmas present.

What is that disgusting brown ring around my tub you ask!? That would be the result of Carter deciding to bring his kit-kat into the bath with him. Pretty gross. After all of the presents were opened, and all of the kids dressed, we looked out the window, and lo and behold it was snowing!! It hasn't snowed here on Christmas since 1990, so this was a rare occasion. So of course I had to bundle up the kids and let them go play in the half inch of snow, since when it does snow it usuall only stays on the ground for a couple of hours.

Look at the wild glee with which Jamison throws a snowball at me. He just love to throw anything at someone. And I also thought when I looked at these shots that Jamison looks like he's gained 20 pounds, but it's really just the 20 layers of clothing he's wearing.

I had to drag Kaden back in the house when it was time to go to Grandmas. He would have been happy to stay out there all day.

I just couldn't resist removing the giant shiner from Carter's eye in this shot. It looks like it was never there huh!

Carter had a great time in the snow this year, as opposed to last year when he screamed and freaked out till I took him back in the house.

Since I'm a portrait photographer, and don't tend to branch out very much, I thought I'd take a couple of non-people photos while I was out in the lovely snow.

And since my creative juices are really flowin today, I thought I'd mess around with this shot of my favorite tree in our neighborhood (yes I have a favorite tree), and see what kind of weird things I could do to it.
