My trip to visit my sister in California went by too quickly. I got there about 10 PM on Thursday night, to discover that my suitcase did not make it with me. So then it took us about an extra hour to get out of the airport, plus we (my mom met me there after flying in from SLC) then had to stop and pick up diapers for the baby since I only had 1 more in my carry on bag. So by the time we drove the 2+ hours to Tehachapi, it was 1:30 AM! By the time we got to sleep it was after 2, so we started the trip on a sleep defecit. It was definitely more hectic going to take photos for Sherri's show with a baby in tow, but it was still lots of fun. We also ended up with crazy weather. The last couple of years when I've been there at the same time of year, it's been in the 70-80 degree range, this time it was in the 50's with lows in the 30's, and we actually woke up to snow on Sunday morning!! Plus Bennett was cutting his top 4 teeth, and learning to pull up to stand and crawl, so he was in a bit of a cranky mood. Luckily he had lots of people to entertain and coddle him. Just look at his sweet cousin feeding him and dressing him up in crazy purple hats. The fun and fabulous cousins also taught him to crawl. They enticed him with quarters that they never actually gave him. I think he still feels jipped.

And this is what happens when you live in a house with all sisters and you can't find your snow clothes, but really want to go sledding anyway (since who can resist some sledding in May)!

That's funny! James and I were in Tehachapi on that same Sunday it snowed. If they had not canceled church we might have bumped into each other.
