This year Carter was supposed to have a big party with friends for his birthday. Trouble was we were living in a small house and it was January and raining all the time. To top it off I was still recovering from moving, setting up a studio for my business, and then working a ridiculous amount in November and December (not to mention all the normal Christmas stuff). I was just completely burnt out and not in any mood to have a house full of Kindergartners. So we went swimming with his best friend Toby for his birthday, and I promised him a party in the summer that he could invite a bunch of his friends from school to. This party was such a success I’m considering having this be a yearly tradition and always celebrating his birthday in July! The kids had so much fun playing in the bounce house (thanks Vickie for loaning it to me!), playing on the slip n slide and having water balloon fights. The 2 hours flew by and everyone was happy. I can’t believe though that Carter is half way to 7! I still think he’s a little guy, but he’s growing up fast. I love that kid!!

Carter and Rebecah (yes they are in the same grade, they just are on the two extreme ends of the size spectrum!)

I can't get over how much your boys look like you. They have your same sparkle eyes!
