A New Journey
For those of you who don't know, I am currently in the process of going back to school to become a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife). The decision to do so has really been a spiritual process for me, and I have felt more like this is a calling, than a career plan. So when I went onto this website that I frequent and read this I truly felt like I was on fire reading it. It was just one more reassurance from Heavenly Father that this is something that he has planned for my life, and that I will be able to do this while still caring for my other responsibilities. I am so incredibly grateful to have the Holy Ghost directing me and helping me on this journey of life.

I just quickly clicked on that article to see what it was about, and something I found interesting was that Patty Sessions is Brandon's 4th Great Grandmother - so your kid's 5th Great Grandmother and Grandma Mansius's side. I always wished I had her genes as far as medicine goes :) so I'm glad someone does.
Tara...it's so awesome! I'm glad you're at the point that you're ready to jump into this. I too have felt 'called' to a birthing profession since right after Joshua was born. It's just going to take some time for me to figure things out. It would be fun someday to be your collegue.

I read your blog the other day but didn't have time to go to the link but did today. I see Amber has already told you that Patty Sessions is an ancestor. We also have the book shown about her life. You are welcome to borrow it if you would like. Her original book she kept is on display at the Winter Quarters visitors center.
