Christmas 2011

This year we had a low key Christmas.  I was not feeling great still, an we decided to go ahead and just spend Christmas eve with our boys at home.  We spent the evening enjoying a nice meal together, decorating gingerbread (well technically they were graham cracker) houses, and reading the nativity story.  Then we let the boys open their presents to each other (they each drew one of their brothers names to give a gift to), and the pajamas we bought them.  Here are some of the highlights from that night.

Then after the boys were nestled all snug in their beds, the stockings were hung by the window with care.

Everyone enjoyed opening their new toys Christmas morning, and the boys had fun piecing together this puzzle that santa left them each pieces to, that led them to their new basketball hoop out front.  Later that morning we went to church and enjoyed a lovely Sacrament meeting (I probably considered it extra lovely as I was sitting up on the stand with the choir!), and then went to Brandon’s parent’s house later that afternoon for dinner.  It was a very nice Christmas, just right for us this year.
