New Years Resolutions

I have mixed feelings at times about New Years Resolutions.  Some years I definitely make them, and many of those years I’ve kept them.  Other years I really don’t feel like it’s the right time for a big change of anything, or I’m just feeling especially lazy, and I don’t do it.  This past year I feel like I have gone through a lot of changes.  Our move was a big change for us, and I never felt like I have quite caught up since we moved here with all of the extra projects we’ve taken on.  Then I got pregnant, and had high hopes that things would be easier this time around, and that my morning sickness wouldn’t be too bad.  Boy was I wrong.  This was the worst pregnancy yet, and I was doing it all during the crazy months of November and December.  And now that the dust has settled, and I’m finally starting to feel better and be able to get back into life I have realized that a lack of order, organization and routine is causing a lot of problems in my life!

This had always been something I’ve struggled with in my life, and at different times I’ve had a lot of progress towards overcoming this issue with myself, but right now I feel like it has been amplified by my being sick and unable to cope with much.  I am really ready to try and tackle this as I feel like it affects every aspect of my life and family negatively.  I have used www.flylady.net before to try and help me get organized, but don’t think I’ve really been committed to the process.  Now I’m ready to commit.  My goal is to have things clean, organized and running smoothly in my home before this baby arrives in June.  I’ve created a separate blog www.fromchaostocontentment.blogspot.com  to track my progress and have a place to set my goals, report how I’m doing, and share my success.  I’m hoping this will be a way to help keep me on track with this process.  Hoping that 2012 will be a wonderful year full of success and joy for you all.
