Hawaii 2015

How do you capture a perfect week in words and photos?  There's no way to really remember every amazing moment, but I guess that's the way life goes.  Brandon and I went to Kauaii for our 15th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful.  Sharla and Dave were kind enough to stay with our kids for the week, and it was the first time since having kids that we had been away from them and on our own for more than 2 days.  We were so excited to get away from the rain and enjoy the sunshine.  The weather was perfect, 70's and low 80's all the time day and night.  We stayed at a resort in Poipu which was on the southern shore of the island.

Giant snails that we thought were seashells laying on the path at first.

We saw so many beautiful birds on the island.

A spectacular sunset on day 2 of our trip.

Waimea Canyon was incredible.

Our trusty rental car.

Watching the sunrise in front of our resort at the Point of Poipu.

On the plane on our way to Hawaii.

Day 1, getting our rental car.

Day 2 relaxing at the beach.

Lunch out, happy as clams.

Brandon found a coconut on the beach.  He tried to hack it open to get to the meat inside, but it was a dud.  He did succeed in making a huge mess in the kitchen though.

The top of Waimea canyon.

Lots of rainbows everywhere.

Swam with sea turtles and it was incredible.

Spent lots of time in our swimsuits in the ocean.

Went boogie boarding in Hanalei Bay

Went to church and spent Sunday relaxing, watching the surfers, and taking nice walks along the beach.

On our way home, rested and relaxed.
